Mary Winifred Foote Uzar, 83, of Maple St. entered eternal life on Saturday October 27th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Uzar. Mary was born in Stamford on September 16, 1929 daughter of the late George Edward Foote and May Dorothy Moran Foote. She was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart University. In her early days she was employed as a ribbon maker. Mary was a strong, compassionate person who opened her heart and home to many people and stray animals in their time of greatest need. She will always be remembered for her fierce loyalty, support, and love for her children and grandchildren. She was a hard working woman who's quiet, observant ways helped nurture those fortunate enough to enter the circle of her love. In addition to her devoted daughter, the sunshine of her life, Mary Nagy and her husband TJ, with whom she resided, she is survived by her beloved sons: Anthony and his wife Christine Uzar, Mark and his wife Romanna Uzar, and George Uzar all of Stamford, CT. She also leaves her many cherished grandchildren including: Anthony Uzar, Patrick Uzar, Dane Uzar, Joseph Uzar, George Uzar Jr., Katharine Mary Uzar, Laura Rose Uzar, Ramsea Uzar, and Gabriel Uzar; Kevin Cohn, Daniel Cohn, Samuel Belkin, Tibor Nagy, Nicholas Nagy, and Noah Nagy. Funeral services, which are private, have been entrusted to the care of the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour. In the words of her family, "Ma, we will always love you and will miss you forever. Your loving children and grandchildren."
