Anthony C. Dudek

Anthony C. Dudek, 79, of Naugatuck, and formerly of Seymour, entered eternal life on Saturday May 9, 2020 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Beth Anne Barker Dudek. Mr. Dudek was born in Scranton, PA on September 16, 1940, son of the late Chester and Mary Koproski Dudek. He attended Seymour High School and began his working career at Uniroyal in Naugatuck. He then worked as a supervisor at the Ideal Manufacturing Company of Beacon Falls for many years. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church in Seymour. Mr. Dudek was very proud of his Polish Heritage and was a member of the Polish American Club of Naugatuck. He was a kind and gentle man who had many interests. Mr. Dudek enjoyed fishing at the lake near his home and cherished the memories of the weekends he spent with his family at Silver Sands Beach in Milford. He was an animal lover with a special place in his heart for his feline friend, Bubba, and pet ferrets, Bonnie and Clyde. Mr. Dudek was a sports fan especially of NFL games and NASCAR racing. He liked to stay up to date with changes in the news and politics and was a fan of CNN. He was a very social person and enjoyed lively conversations and making new friends. Most of all, he delighted in the care and company of his devoted family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Beth Anne Barker Dudek. He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Stacy Dudek of Woodbury, and Antoinette Dudek of TX; step-daughters, JoLee Hughes of Naugatuck, and Dr. Brenda Romaniello of Waterbury; step-son, Richard Atchison of Naugatuck; grandsons, Timothy Sprague, Patrick Hughes, and Joseph Weimar; granddaughters, Savannah Sprague, Brittany & Megan Romaniello, and Kristi & Samantha Atchison. He is also survived by his brother, Stanley Dudek of CA, first wife, Antoinette Zitzmann Shea and many dear friends. Due to the current restrictions on social gathering, all services are private.
