Carol J. Pawlak, 87, of Beacon Falls, entered eternal life on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Griffin Hospital with her loving daughter by her side. She was the widow of Michael Pawlak. Carol was born in Ansonia on July 1, 1932, daughter of the late Peter "Casey" Klimas and Jean Bialek Klimas. She was a proud graduate of Ansonia High School Class of 1950. Carol was employed by the BF Goodrich Corporation for many years. She also worked at Seymour High School and Griffin Hospital. When she was well, she enjoyed gardening and maintained a lifelong love and appreciation for the beauty of flowers. She enjoyed traveling, including trips to New Orleans and Aruba as well as bus trips to Atlantic City and occasional forays to the Casinos. She liked to play cards and bingo and was a member of the Beacon Falls Senior Center. Carol liked to dine out and attend shows, especially at the Palace Theater in Waterbury. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family. She looked forward to times spent with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, after being blessed with 34 years of marriage. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Valerie Lombardi of Oxford; beloved son, Gary Pawlak, and his fiancé, Georgia Needham, of Brookfield. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley and Olivia Lombardi of Oxford, and Cassidy Pawlak of Brookfield. Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, all funeral services are private. Burial will occur in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. The Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
