Elaine Garbarino, 70, of Oxford entered eternal life on January 24, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.  Elaine was born in Bridgeport, beloved daughter of the late Augustus (Gus) Garbarino and Bernice Topolski Garbarino.  She was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph's High School and continued her education at Sacred Heart University where she earned her bachelor's degree. She worked in administration at Voices Newspaper prior to her retirement.  Elaine was devoutly religious and a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of St. Nicholas Parish for many years.  She loved nature and animals especially her canine and feline pets and all the birds who visited her backyard feeders.  Elaine was a quiet and reflective person who kept to herself and found contentment and joy in cultivating the flowers and plants in her yard. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends.  Elaine is survived by her devoted son, Frank Orosz and his wife Missy of Seymour; cherished grandchildren Madelynn and Marley Orosz of Seymour; beloved sister Marie Zyskowski and her husband Richard of Shelton; and her nephew Michael Zyskowski.  She is also survived by many cousins from her Mother's Topolski side of the family as well as cousins from the Garbarino side, and many dear friends.  Friends and family are invited to meet DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd of St. Nicholas Parish, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour on Friday February 2 at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Thomas Cieslikowski officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 1056 Daniels Farm Rd. Trumbull. Final arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Anthony V.
