Eleanor H. Scott, 81, of Beacon Falls CT, peacefully passed away after a long illness on April 27, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of George Scott for over 61 years. Eleanor was born on July 12, 1937, in the state of Pennsylvania, beloved daughter of the late Michael J. Pastir and Helen Sotak Pastir. Eleanor had a passion for travel and was an avid supporter of many charities. She loved Nascar and was a member of the Blue Army. She made a hobby of crocheting blankets and afghans to donate to the poor and needy. She loved Bingo and was a saleswoman with Popular Club. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Beacon Falls. For the last few years of Eleanor's life, her daughter, Mary, made it her sole purpose to ensure Eleanor's life was comfortable and peaceful. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael John Pastir. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, George Scott; daughters, Patricia Chaney and her husband, Dave, Theresa Zarnetske, and Mary Scott; two sons, Jeffery Scott and his wife Rachelle, and Joseph Scott. Eleanor was the loving grandmother to Ben, the son of Mary Scott, Sean Rallis and his wife Jessica, Sarah Glinka and her husband Ted, Melanie Scott, and Brittany Barsczewski. Eleanor was the great grandmother to Maxwell Rallis and Penny Layne Rallis. She is also survived by her five sisters, Dolores Dedo and her husband Joe, Jeannie Depasqua and her husband Dan, Helena Cardamone and her husband Dominick, Lorraine Reggio, Janet Austin and her husband Warren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, at 9:45 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave., Seymour, for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church, 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls. Interment will follow at Pines Bridge Cemetery Old Turnpike Rd. Beacon Falls. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 2, from 5:00-8:00pm and on Friday from 9:15 am until the service.
