Francis George Patrick Golebieski, 58, of First Ave Seymour, entered eternal life on December 24, 2019 at Griffin Hospital. Fran was born in Derby on February 14, 1961, son of the late John and Marguerite Doohan Golebieski, Sr. He was a graduate of Emmett O'Brien Technical High School and a mechanic by trade. He was the owner of Golbie's Auto Service of Naugatuck for many years. He was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly #125 (Naugatuck). He was a member of the Nutmeg Miata Club. Fran enjoyed tinkering with Go-carts and taking long rides in the car. He loved animals especially his devoted canine companions. Fran was a very social and engaging host and enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John (Jack) Golebieski, Jr., and sister, Kathleen Golebieski. He is survived by his life partner, Joan Marsala of Sandy Hook, the daughter of his heart, Pamela Marsala of San Diego; his brother, Michael Golebieski, of Oakville, several nieces & nephews: Lee Golebieski and his wife Stefanie of Seymour, Deanna Mylen of Oakville, Kevin Golebieski and his wife Liz of Prospect, and Amy Golebieski of Boston. He is also survived by his greatnieces & greatnephews: John Rocco, Ethan, Skylar, Aurora, Mason, Madyson and many cousins and dear friends. A Memorial Service in Celebration of his Life will be held January 11, 2020 from 9-10:15 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave Seymour 06483 . Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent Ferrer Church 1006 New Haven Rd. Naugatuck 06770. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Knights of Columbus Assembly #125 Council #33 P.O. Box 512 Naugatuck, CT 06770.
