Gail Ann Grim, 80, of Seymour, peacefully entered eternal life on Tuesday June 13, 2023, at Shady Knoll Health Center. Gail was the beloved wife for 38 years of the late Clyde Thomas Grim. She was born in Derby on August 17, 1942, daughter of the late Ralph Louis Brooks and Ann Marie Isabel Brooks. Gail and Clyde were blessed with six children, twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She devoted her life to the care of her beloved family and received great pleasure in their happiness and joy. She coordinated transportation to football practices and games, dancing lessons, piano lessons, religious instruction, and a multitude of extracurricular activities. She worked as a kindergarten teacher's assistant at Bungay School and was employed by Cooper Surgical Inc., Medical Equipment Manufacturer for many years, and eventually retired at 70 years of age. She had a very strong faith and was a past communicant of St. Augustine Church, Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, and most recently, Christ the Redeemer Church. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her family, and shopping. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's extracurricular activities and accomplishments. In addition to her beloved husband, Clyde, she was predeceased by her siblings, Norman and Roger Brooks, and Carol Piscitelli; and her son in law, Mark Condo. She is survived by her devoted children: Thomas Grim and his Fiancé, Elizabeth Delgado, of Seymour; Robert Grim Sr. and his wife, Krista, of VT; Scott Grim and his wife, Traci, of Derby; John Grim, Carol Condo, and Judy Grim all of Seymour. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shannon, Michael, Robert Jr., Rebekah, Benjamin, Vincent, Megan, Ethan, Nina, Miles, Jaxon, and Laura. In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held Wed., July 5, 2023, at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour. Friends and family may visit beginning at 11:00am. Memorial Service, with Chaplain David N. Abbott officiating, will begin at 12:15 pm. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery Shelton.
