Glen Thomas Overton

Oxford, CT - Glen Thomas Overton, 46, of Oxford, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 19 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends.
Glen was born May 17, 1966, in Milford, CT and son of the late Crawford & Elizabeth Overton of Milford. A devoted father, husband and friend, he is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Oxford, two children Tyler and Alyssa, niece Trish Kallmann of Milford; in-laws Robert & Mabel Kezelevich of Seymour; brother Crawford Overton of Dandridge,TN; sister Charlotte Tenney of Sarasota, FL; and several aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews and cousins. Glen was proud to have served his country in Desert Storm and Desert Shield while in the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA in the early 1990's.
Glen was employed at Faxon Engineering in Milford, as a warehouse supervisor and was an active member in his community. He enjoyed attending his children's soccer games and swimming events as well as relaxing in front of the fireplace watching a good Cowboys football game. He will be remembered for the jokester he was, his great sense of humor and unique laugh, the voice you could hear a mile away, and the 10+ years he dedicated to the Oxford community with Oxford youth soccer. He is very proud of his children and all the Oxford soccer players that he coached over the years and their accomplishments. Glen's legacy will continue as he gave the gift of life to many families as an organ donor.
Calling hours will be held at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave, Seymour, CT on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 4PM to 8PM. A short memorial service will take place at 8PM. Private interment with full military honors will be held on Saturday, November 10th.
