Harry J. Webb

Harry J. Webb, Jr., 89, of Amity Rd. Woodbridge, entered eternal rest on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Webb was the beloved husband of the late Ann Tirozzi Webb. He was born in Somerville MA on September 11, 1925, son of the late Harry Webb, Sr. & Paula Thiel Webb. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He earned the European Theatre Medal, American Theatre Medal, and the Victory Medal. Mr. Webb was a clerk at the H. E. Harris Stamp Company for many years and was then was self-employed at the Weblor Stamp Co. Mr. Webb was a communicant of St. Barnabus Church in North Haven for many years. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed his free time playing cards, especially bridge, poker, & pinochle; playing cribbage and watching movies. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. His favorite time of year was the Christmas season with the challenges of planning and decorating, and the joy and merriment of family and friends. In addition to his late wife, Ann Tirozzi Webb, he was predeceased by his sister Paula Maylor. He is survived by his devoted family including his son, Richard Webb and his wife, Kimberly, of Seymour; daughter, Nancy Ann Salerno, of Kure Beach NC; beloved grandchildren, Jessica Webb-Gurecki and her husband, Ken, of Oxford, and Kathryn Webb of Seymour; cherished great grandson, Evan Michael Gurecki; brothers, Charles Webb and his wife, Barbara, of North Redding MA, and Robert Webb and his wife, Marie, of Chelmsford, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour, on Monday July, 20 at 10:30am for a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Ave. Seymour. Interment with full Military Honors will occur in MA at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday July 19, 2015 from 4:00-6:00pm.
