Inez Maria Mosier, 94, of Seymour, peacefully entered eternal life on Wednesday May 22, 2024, in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Mosier having been blessed with a 45-year marriage. Inez was born in New York City in 1929, daughter of the late Felipe Colon and Anna Maria Sierra. She lost her Mom, at a young age and she and her sister were raised and educated by nuns at the Mother Cabrini School in New York City. They nurtured in her a foundation of humility, grace, and gentility. She exemplified those qualities throughout her entire life. She lived in Harrisburg, PA; Upland, CA; and Charlotte, NC; before coming to CT to live with her son, Phillip Mobley and his fiancée, Betsy Suraci. Inez was an executive secretary at Travelers Corp. and then Nakao International of Charlotte, NC. She enjoyed traveling especially to CA, and Italy. Most especially she enjoyed doting on her cherished family and wide circle of friends, including her beloved canine companions, Duke and Buttercup.
In addition to her beloved husband, Gerald Mosier, she was predeceased by her sister, Ceil Ertter, and nephew, Billy Ertter. Inez is survived by her son, Phillip Mobley and his fiancée, Betsy Suraci, with whom she resided; grandchildren, Dawne Silva, Heather Gomez and her husband, Steven; Michael Mobley, and Sara Ortiz and her wife, Jennifer; and great grandson, Thomas Ortiz. She is also survived by her niece, Tracey Ertter; nephews, George (Geo) Ertter, and Jeff Ertter; and ex-daughter in law, Janice Silva.
