Jane Elizabeth Bariluk

Jane Bariluk, 99, of Seymour entered eternal life on June 26, 2022. She was the beloved widow of Nicholas Bariluk, having been blessed with 49 years of marriage.  She was born in Union City on October 23, 1922, beloved daughter of Walter Siwanowicz and Helen Grous Siwanowicz.  Jane, a life-long resident of Seymour, was the co-owner of the former Ed's Cleaners, a prominent town business for 61 years.  She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. Jane was a vibrant and active woman whose zest for life endeared her to all who were privileged to know her. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Jane was predeceased by her four brothers and three sisters.  She is survived by her son, Nicholas Bariluk and his wife Mary of Danbury; daughters, Elaine Bariluk-Peck and her husband David Peck of Thomaston; Christine Hill and her husband, Thomas Hill of Narragansett RI; and Nancy Bariluk-Smith and her husband, William Smith, of Kennebunk ME. She is also survived by her cherished 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.   Funeral services will be held at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour on Wednesday July 6 at 10:15 am for an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church of St. Nicholas Parish, 35 Washington Ave. Seymour.  Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery.  Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday July 6, from 9 am until Mass time.  To leave an on-line condolence please visit: chepulisfuneralhome.com.
