Joanne Talarico, 84, of Seymour, peacefully entered eternal life on Saturday July 22, 2023 in the comfort of her own home.  Joanne was the beloved widow of Louis G. Talarico.  Joanne was born in Fall River MA, on August 15, 1938, daughter of the late Michael Hrenko and Mary O'Neil Hrenko. She was a graduate of Somerset High School in MA, and the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden, CT. She was a police officer with the Seymour Police department for many years.  Joanne's appreciation for the beauty of flowers led her to own and operate the Seymour Florist Shop.  Joanne was deeply religious and was a past member of the Four Square Gospel Church of Seymour, and the River Valley Baptist Church in Ansonia. She was a member of the Ansonia Senior Center and enjoyed playing Bingo and watching movies especially mysteries and Jesse Stone crime dramas.  In the sunset of her life she made it her mission to provide food and water to all the birds and squirrels in her neighborhood and they rewarded her with their beauty and lively antics.  In addition to her husband, Louis Talarico; she was predeceased by her son, Robert Cavanaugh; brother, Michael Daniel Hrenko; sister in law, Fran Hrenko; and brother in law, Fred Anglace.  She is survived by her daughter, Debra Engle and her husband, Charles of Camden TN; son, Peter Cavanaugh and his wife Cindy of North Adams, MA; brother, Michael Hrenko, of England; sister, Michele Anglace of Fall River, MA; and daughter in law, Colleen Cavanaugh.  Joanne is also survived by her cherished granddaughters:  Heather and Missy Goff, Samantha and Rachel Cavanaugh, Erika Massi, and Rebekah Hayes; grandsons:  Peter Cavanaugh, Jr., Michael, Matthew, and Jack Cavanaugh; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Bentley, and Robert Cavanaugh, Michael Turnage, Evelynne Turnage, Lucas Hayes, Joshua Goff and Emma Alves; and devoted niece, Alison Anglace, who helped take care of her for the past year,  She is also survived by her very dear and devoted friends, Cindy Tuozzola, Brenda Bourne, and Kettly Laverne whose care and support she cherished. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Anthony V.
