John Joseph Conlon, 76, of Hamden and formerly of Derby and Seymour, peacefully entered eternal life on Friday October 10, 2025, at Arden Care Center. John was born in Derby on November 16, 1948, beloved son of Jerome Conlon and Mary Reilly Conlon. He was raised in Seymour and was a 1966 graduate of Seymour High School. John proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. After returning from the service, he began a long career as a cable worker at the Keyrite Company in Seymour. After moving to Derby, he was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed hiking, freshwater fishing, and was an avid fan of the NY Giants. He was a member of Friends of Bill for many years. He had many friends and will be greatly missed by those privileged to have known him. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Paul Conlon. He is survived by his devoted brother, Stephen Conlon of Guilford; daughters, Kelly (Mark) Baker, of Seymour, Kim (Michael) Warecke of Old Lyme; five grandchildren and many dear friends. Funeral services, which are private, have been entrusted into the care of the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour.
