Joseph John Laskowski, 64, of Naugatuck, peacefully entered eternal life on Feb. 18, 2024, at Beacon Brook Health Center after a long illness. Joseph was born on February 19, 1959, in Derby.  He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Loretta Koproski Laskowski. He grew up in Beacon Falls and was a graduate of Emmett O'Brien HS, played Little League baseball and was a past communicant and altar boy at St. Michael's Church, Beacon Falls. He was a self-employed photographer and "Nite Crue" Supervisor at Stop & Shop. He loved rock music with some of his favorites being Grateful Dead, Obsession, Metallica, KISS, the Beatles, Alice Cooper, Ozzie Osborne, Rainbow, Bad Finger, and Weird Al Yankovic. He was fortunate to be able to photograph and enjoy many of them in concert and was always on the quest to add another celebrity autograph to his lifelong collection.  Joseph had his own band called, "Nite Crue" and recorded a CD of their music.  He performed with the Woodbury Ballet Co. for many years and danced in Phantom of the Opera, the Nutcracker, and many others.  He volunteered for the Rock for Christmas Foundation.  He was a kindhearted soul with high energy and a zest for life. Joseph loved all animals including reptiles especially Smiley, his alligator, and his pet boa constrictor. He enjoyed travelling and camping especially to the Grand Canyon and California.  His favorite car was his 1976 Trans Am. Joseph is survived by his devoted family, sister Diane Lombardi and her husband William of Middlebury, sister Lynn Ann Laskowski Vardon LaBossiere of Waterbury; niece, Kerri Ann Vardon, and her partner Thomas Greber; and great niece, Sophie Greber. He is also survived by his long-time loving friend, Linda.
