Joseph John Laskowski, Jr., 87, of Beacon Falls, entered eternal life on Monday June 17, 2019, at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta (Koproski) Laskowski. Joseph was born in Scranton, PA, on August 30, 1931, son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Habarek) Laskowski, Sr. He was a veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving his country in the US Air Force. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Beacon Falls. Joseph worked at the Kerite Co. for many years until his retirement in 1996. While, he enjoyed bowling, model trains, planes, drives to Newport, and being with all of the kids in his life, his greatest joy came from always being at the side of his beloved wife. In addition to his wife, Loretta, he was predeceased by his brother, Chester Laskowski. He is survived by his devoted family including his son, Joseph Laskowski, III, and his companion, Linda, of Naugatuck; daughters, Lynn Ann Vardon LaBossiere, and her husband Ernest III, of Waterbury, and Diane Lombardi and her husband William, of Middlebury; granddaughter, Kerri Vardon, and her partner, Thomas Greber of Beacon Falls; great granddaughter Sophie Greber of Beacon Falls; and brother, Casmir Laskowski, of Seymour. He is also survived by his sisters in law, Regina Sevigny, Agnes Gregorczyk, Barbara Koproski, Judith Koproski; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 20 th at 9:45 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave., Seymour, for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church, 25 Maple Ave Beacon Falls. Burial, with full military honors will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Silver Hill Rd. Ansonia. Friends are invited to call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:30 am.
