Kathleen Golebieski, 61, of First Ave Seymour, entered eternal life on Nov 19, 2017 at Griffin Hospital. Kathy was born in Derby on August 1, 1956, daughter of the late John and Marguerite Doohan Golebieski, Sr. She was a graduate of Seymour High School & Mattatuck Community College and was employed by Southern New England Telephone Co. in customer service for many years. She was devoutly religious and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. Kathy enjoyed music and singing and was a past member of the SHS Minstrals, the St. Augustine Choir, and the Sweet Adelines. She loved animals and had several pets. She was an avid fan of UCONN Huskies Women's basketball. She enjoyed shopping, forays to the Casinos, and scratch lottery tickets. Kathy was a caring and giving person who shared her help and support with anyone in need. Her kindness touched many lives and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John (Jack) Golebieski, Jr. She is survived by her brothers, Michael Golebieski, and his girlfriend Debra Negralle of Oakville, and Francis Golebieski and his partner Joan Marsala of Seymour; several nieces & nephews: Lee (Stefanie) Golebieski of Seymour, Deanna Mylen of Seymour, Kevin (Liz) Golebieski of Prospect, and Amy Golebieski of Boston. She is also survived by her greatnieces & greatnephews: John Rocco, Ethan, Skylar, Aurora, Mason, Madyson and many cousins and dear friends. Funeral Services will take place on Friday Nov 24 th at 9:30 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour. for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church with Rev. Mathieu Isaac officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Friday from 9am. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.
