Lewis C. Enama, Jr.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lewis C. Enama on January 6th 2024. Lou, also lovingly known as 'Pap Pap' was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War as an Air Traffic Control Tower Operator. He moved to Connecticut with his wife, Antoinette Enama to begin a career at Sikorsky Aircraft. Lou proudly worked at Sikorsky for 36 years. After retirement, he traveled the country via RV with his wife, Toni, visiting as many national parks as possible. In his free time, he enjoyed driving his 1959 Ford Galaxie and showing it off at car shows, often winning. He was an avid golf player, enjoying many rounds with family and friends but most importantly, his daughter, Cathy and grandsons, Billy and Lou. He spent many summers in Vermont at Lake Hortonia with his family sharing his love of boating and fishing. Along with all of these adventures, his greatest joy in life was spending time with family. He was his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's #1 fan. Pap never missed an important milestone, sporting event or celebration. He will be missed for his lighthearted spirit, zest for life, integrity, endless stories and infinite wisdom. Pap was the pillar of the Enama legacy.

He is survived by his son Lewis Enama, daughter Catherine Enama. His grandchildren, Stephanie German and her husband Robert German, Rachel Enama, Billy O'Donnell and his wife Sarah O'Donnell, Lou Enama and his wife Kristi Enama. Great grandchildren, Axel, Isla and Bryn German, and Lana & Kent Enama. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Antoinette Enama and his son, Wayne Enama. He was lucky enough in life to find love again in Florida with Norma Enama, they were married for 10 years.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 10th 2024 from 5:00pm- 7:00pm and Thursday, January 11th from 10am- 11am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave, Seymour CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 11th 2024 at St. Augustine's Church of St. Nicholas Parish, 35 Washington Ave, Seymour CT, with Rev. Thomas Cieslikowski officiating. Full Military honors will be accorded.
