Lillian Chaplik, 90, of Seymour, and formerly of Ansonia, entered eternal life on April 10, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Lillian was born in Ansonia on Feb. 5, 1928, daughter of the late James and Anna (Rastauskas) Chaplik. She was a stock clerk at Uniroyal until her retirement. She was deeply religious and was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church. She found comfort in watching the daily mass on TV. Previously she attended St. Anthony's Church for many decades where she was an active member of the choir, the Ladies Guild, and the Knights of Lithuania Council 135. Lil was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, movies, the casinos, travelling, and most especially the company of her devoted family and friends. She had a sparkling personality and could engage anyone in conversation. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Alphonse Caplik and Victor Chaplik; sister, Mary Alice Bukofske; and sister in law Frances Chaplik. She is survived by her many devoted nieces and nephews, sister in law Edith Caplik and dear friends Millie Driznus and Sophie Muskavitch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. April 18 th at 10:30am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby. Per her wishes, there are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home in Seymour.
