Loretta A. Laskowski, 75, of Burton Rd. Beacon Falls, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Griffin Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph Laskowski.
Loretta was born in Scranton PA on Oct. 24, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia (Novakowski)
Koproski.
She was a graduate of Seymour High School where she was voted the "Class Beauty".
She was employed by Shop and Shop Supermarkets until her retirement.
Loretta was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Beacon Falls and an active member of the Beacon Falls Ladies Guild.
She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, travelling and trips to the casino, but her greatest joy and passion was in the care of her loving family.
In addition to her husband, Joseph Laskowski, she is survived by her beloved son, Joseph Laskowski, of Naugatuck; devoted daughters, Lynn Vardon LaBossiere and her husband, Ernest Labossiere III of Waterbury, and Diane Lombardi and her husband William Lombardi of Waterbury; cherished granddaughter, Kerri Vardon and her partner Thomas Greber of Beacon Falls; and her treasured great granddaughter, Sophie Greber of Beacon Falls.
She is also survived by sisters, Agnes Gregorczyk and her husband Edward Gregorczyk of PA, Regina Sevigny of Naugatuck; sisters in law, Barbara Koproski of FL, Judith Koproski of Seymour; several nieces and nephews; and her loving cat.
Loretta was predeceased by her brothers: Alexander, Walter, Theodore, and Casmir Koproski; and her sister, Mary Dudek.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct 10
th
at 10:15am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour for a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, 32 Jewett St.
Ansonia.
Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Silver Hill Rd. Derby.
Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9-10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Loretta may be made to St. Michael's Church, 25 Maple St. Beacon Falls, CT 06403 or to the charity of one's choice.
