Louise Jane Tiano

Louise Jane (Valley) Tiano, 82, of Derby, entered eternal life on Feb. 9, 2025 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Tiano, Jr. Louise was born in Derby on Dec. 16, 1942, daughter of the late Louis and Celia (Sadlowski) Valley. She was a graduate of Seymour High School and Stone School of Business. Louise was a dedicated real estate agent for Select Real Estate Co. for over 20 years. She was honored to serve on the CT State Board of Realtors. She was a past communicant of St. Augustine Church. Louise is predeceased by her parents and her granddaughter, Pamela Krol.
In addition to her beloved husband, Anthony, she is survived by her daughter, Stacey Haydu of Seymour; son Mark Haydu and his wife Linda of Seymour, three granddaughters–Alexis Christy, Michele Krol, and Amanda Fielder, and two grandsons–Matt Haydu and Brendan Fielder. Louise also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Terri Fielder and a stepson, Anthony Tiano III.
Louise was a woman of unwavering independence, resilience, and wit. Whether you knew her for ten years or ten minutes, she was impossible to forget. Her thoughtfulness and generosity for others was unparalleled. Louise would give her last dollar or the shirt off her back, if it meant someone else would prosper. Famous for her Anginette cookies and Polish kielbasa, Louise greatly enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends, and community alike. She loved Jeopardy, New York Yankees baseball, crossword puzzles, and a variety of music including her favorites–Kenny Rogers, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, The Stylistics, and Luther Vandross. When she wasn't busy feeding every stray cat in the neighborhood or cracking sassy jokes with her friends, Louise spent years making everlasting memories with her grandkids, who remained the light and joy of her life. Although her body has left this Earth, the imprint of Louise's love, with every person and path she crossed, will live on forever.
Funeral services have been entrusted into the care of the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave, Seymour. All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
