Mary Ann Wityak, 64, of Albuquerque NM, and previously of Seymour, CT, passed peacefully into eternal rest on January 13 th 2023, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was surrounded by her family when she left the earthly bonds in the arms of our Lord. She was the adored wife and high school sweetheart of George Wityak. Mary Ann was born in Providence RI, on September 21st, 1958, beloved daughter of John Jennings and Mary (neé Hooley) Jennings. Mary Ann lived in Seymour, CT for most of her youth attending Seymour High School, South Central Community College and the University of Connecticut, obtaining a degree in Dietetics. Mary Ann was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho, NM and was President of G&S Manufacturing in Albuquerque for several years. Mary Ann was a diehard Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe including a pilgrimage to Lourdes in France. Her greatest joy in life was found in nurturing, supporting, and caring for her loving family. Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 40 years, George Wityak; sons, Ryan Wityak, Colin Wityak and his wife Lindsey; daughter, Marisa Wityak, and her most cherished grandson, Sage. She is also survived by her parents, John and Mary Jennings; brothers, Steven Jennings (Marcia), John Jennings (Priscilla), Michael Jennings (Amy); sister, Karen Ward (Charles), and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 30 th at 9:45am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave., Seymour for a 10:30 am Requiem Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Oratory, 48 Charles St. Waterbury, CT with Rev. Canon Joel Estrada officiating. Burial will follow at Three Saints Cemetery in Seymour. Friends are invited to greet the family at the Chepulis Funeral Home on Sunday, January 29 th from 2:00-5:00pm, and on Monday from 8:30am-9:45am.
