Paul Stanley Scibek, 75, of Woodbury and formerly of Bethlehem and Seymour, entered eternal life at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury on November 1, 2021 with his devoted family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Baran) Scibek for 55 years. Paul was born in Derby on July 16, 1946, son of the late Stanley J. Scibek, Sr. and Helen (Krzeminsky) Scibek. He attended Seymour schools and Post College in Waterbury. Paul proudly served his country in the Army Security Agency stationed in Korea, Thailand, and Germany during the Vietnam War era. He was a postal clerk at the Seymour Post office for 34 years. He was an Eagle Scout; Order of the Arrow Vigil and he was Scout Master for Troop 59 in Bethlehem for 10 years. Paul enjoyed fishing and fly tying and was a member of the Housatonic Fly Fishermen's Association. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved daughter in law, Danielle Decilla Scibek. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula (Baran) Scibek of Woodbury; sons, Paul Stanley Scibek, Jr. and his wife Yuri, of CA, and Christopher Mark Scibek of Bethlehem, CT; and daughter, Laurie Scibek and her husband David Maddox, of Bethlehem, CT; brother, Stanley Joseph Scibek, Jr. and his wife Martha, of West Stockbridge, MA. His fishing buddy and cousin David Scibek of Seymour Ct. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Bryant, Jeremy, and Alexander Maddox, Patrick, Jacob and his wife Jessica, Lisa, Lucas and his wife LeAnne, Colton and his wife Cameron, Justin, Adrienne, Alessandra, Angela, Josephine, Meli, Chetan, Brandon, Alexantle, Xavier, Alice, Talia, and Ezra Scibek; great grandchildren, Mason, Wesley, and Olivia Scibek; Funeral Services will be held at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour on Tuesday November 9, at 10:30 am for a 11:00 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church of St. Nicholas Parish with Rev. Thomas Cieslikowski officiating. Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until mass time. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery Seymour. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Paul's honor may be made to the Bethlehem Ambulance Association, PO Box 401, 83 Main St. South, Bethlehem, CT 06751, or to The Shrine of Lourdes in Litchfield by mailing: Lourdes in Litchfield P.O.
