Philip Edward Howley

Philip Edward Howley, 69, of Seymour, unexpectedly entered eternal life on December 11, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Ariano) Howley and was blessed with a happy forty-five-year marriage.  Phil was born in Norwalk, beloved son of the late Thomas and Joann (Stapkowski) Howley. He was a graduate of Dean Junior College with a degree in Accounting/Marketing and worked in sales for Technology and Medical Companies throughout his career. He was a long-term communicant of St. Nicholas Parish initially attending St. Augustine Church and in recent years, the Church of the Good Shepherd. Phil loved sailing and was especially proud of his newest sailboat. He enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He was an animal lover and had many canine companions over the years.  Most especially he enjoyed spending time with his devoted family and offering a helping hand to anyone who needed him. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters in law, Kay Howley and Jane Howley.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis; devoted son, Brian Howley (Sarah), of Prospect; loving daughters, Mary Palmieri (Ralph), of Seymour, and Devin Dumschott (Tim), of Seymour. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Anthony Palmieri (Ali), Maya Palmieri, Nicholas Palmieri, Kallee Howley, Sophia Howley, Morgan Howley and Henry Howley; and brothers Martin Howley of Texas, and Thomas Howley of Ansonia.

Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday December 19th at 11:00am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd of St. Nicholas Parish 135 Mountain Road Seymour for a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  The Anthony V.
