Salvatore Micciche, 60, of Ansonia peacefully entered eternal life on April 22, 2022 at CT Hospice in Branford with his family by his side. Salvatore was born in Caltanissetta, Sicily, Italy on December 7, 1961, beloved son of Michael Micciche and Nunziata Ombrello Micciche. He adored his Mom and cherished all their special times together. He was a 1980 graduate of Ansonia High School and attended Bullard Havens Technical School. He was employed by the General Electric Company in their appliance repair division for many years. After leaving GE, he became the owner /franchisee of a Dunkin Donuts shop. True to his Italian heritage, Salvatore enjoyed cooking and dining. He was a sports fan especially of the New York Mets and the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed music and movies, particularly Westerns. He nurtured in his daughters a deep love and respect for animals, and they have many fond memories of growing up with their dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and horses. Salvatore greatest joy in life was found in the love and companionship of his devoted family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Giuseppe and Angelo Micciche. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Venessa Micciche of Seymour, Marie Micciche and her husband Charles Murphy of Ansonia; cherished grandsons, Charles and Caleb Murphy of Ansonia; and devoted sister, Maria Micciche also of Ansonia. He is survived by his adored nieces, Maria Micciche of Italy, Chelsey Micciche of Stafford Springs, Natascia Simone of Derby, Alexa Micciche of Ansonia; and grandnieces, Vivianna and Giada Colacchio of Stafford Springs.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:45 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour 06483 with prayers by Fr. John Kuzhikottayil, SDB, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Naugatuck. Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday morning from 9:00am until the service. Entombment will follow in Mount St.Peters Mausoleum, 219 New Haven Ave. Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Salvatore's honor, may be made to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd.
