Sharon Sanzo

Sharon Barrows Sanzo, 70, of East Haven, formerly of Shelton and Waterbury, peacefully entered eternal life at CT Hospice in Branford on Sunday April 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was the beloved wife of Joseph Sanzo for 54 years. She was born in Derby, daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Beatrice) Barrows. She was a Registered Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital and worked for the State of CT D.D.S. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an avid crafter, gardener, and author. She enjoyed trips to NASCAR events, Newport, and Cape Cod. She touched many lives and was loved by all. In addition to her beloved husband, Joseph, she is survived by her three loyal sons and daughters in law, Jeff (Charisse) Sanzo, Mark (Karen) Sanzo, and Rick (Darlene) Sanzo; five grandchildren: Stephen, Christine, Danielle, Joey, and Nicole; two cherished great grandchildren: Taylor and McKayla, and many loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Brittany Sanzo.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 16 ^th at 9:30 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour for a 10 am Mass of Christian burial at St. Augustine Church 55 Washington Ave. Seymour. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday April 15 ^th from 4-7pm.
