Sophie Grudzias Brown

Sophie Grudzias Brown, 92, of Seymour, entered eternal rest on Dec. 21, 2015 at Griffin Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late William G. Brown.  Sophie was born in ​New Britain  on August 17, 1923, daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Spanek) Grudzias. She attended the Ansonia Business School and was a secretary at Seymour Manufacturing for many years.  She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, bird watching, and gardening.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Theodore, Zigmont, and Harriet Grudzias.  She is survived by her nieces: Jacqueline (George) Bassing,  Maureen Grudzias, Lori Slowik, and Cindy (Eugene) Bernardini; great nephew, Justin, great niece Jessica, several distant nieces and dear friends.  Funeral services, which were private, per her wishes, were entrusted to the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home.  Interment was in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery.  Please Omit Flowers.
