Sophie Nasatka Kozloski, 95, of Rimmon St. Seymour, entered eternal rest on Thursday December 6, 2018 in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved widow of Benjamin Kozloski. Sophie was born in Seymour on December 1, 1923, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Turek) Nasatka. She was an executive secretary at Kerite Cable Co. & the Hubbell Corp. until her retirement. She previously had worked at the Waterman Company in Seymour. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and a member of her Seymour High School Class Reunion Committee. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed Polka music and dancing. She and her sister, Anne Fernino were known as the "Polka Twins" and were famous for their dancing throughout the lower Naugatuck Valley. Sophie enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and doing crafts especially making wreaths. She had a strong fashion sense and was known for her flair and style. In addition to her husband, Benjamin, she was predeceased by her sisters Anne Fernino, Helen Karlak, Stella Kopec, and Tessie (Theresa) Hurley. She is survived by her son, Richard Kozloski and his wife Elizabeth of Kensington; grandchildren, Kit and Allen Kozloski; and sister Valerie Nasatka. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 12 th from 8:30-10 am at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour.
