Walter March

Walter March, 97, of Seymour, entered eternal life on Thursday July 2, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Julia Ziemanski March. Walter was born in Seymour on June 19, 1918, son of the late Konstanty and Josephine March. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having proudly served his country during WWII. He was employed by Risden Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church and an active member of the Seymour VFW Post 12084. Walter was an avid newspaper reader, fresh water fisherman, and in his sunset years enjoyed Bingo and the occasional casino bus trip. In addition to his wife, Julia, he was pre-deceased by his sisters, Elizabeth M. Nelson and Helen Wascowicz. He is survived by his devoted nephew, Wayne Nelson and partner Carol Fritz of Seymour. Funeral services will be held at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave. Seymour, on Tuesday July 7 at 10 am for a 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7pm.
