Anne Chepulis
Embalmer, Funeral Director, Owner
Anne was born in Bridgeport and raised in Seymour. She is a graduate of Seymour High School Class of 1976, Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing in 1979 and Yale University in 1984. She graduated as the Valedictorian of Briarwood College Class of 2000 with her Mortuary Science Degree. She is an RN at Yale New Haven Hospital and was an adjunct faculty member of Briarwood College Department of Mortuary Science for many years. She is a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director and became the owner operator of the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home following the passing of her sister, Susan Chepulis-Ewen and parents, Anthony and Helen Chepulis. She and her staff are proud to operate the Chepulis Funeral Home in the tradition of her family before them. She attends St. Augustine’s Church of St. Nicholas Parish. She enjoys cooking and baking, and flower gardening especially her favorites, hibiscus and hydrangeas. She lives in Seymour with her rescue dog, Jolene.
Paul N. Warren, Ph.D.
Embalmer, Funeral Director
Paul is a 1974 graduate of Berlin High School and a 1976 graduate of the New England Institute of Anatomy, Embalming, Sanitary Science, and Funeral Directing in Boston. He continued his education at Walden University and earned a Ph.D. He has an extensive work history including experience at several funeral homes, the CT State Medical Examiner’s Office and a long career as a CT State Police Officer. He was the Program Director of the Mortuary Science Department at the Lincoln College of New England in Southington for many years. Paul shares his home with his son, Jesse, and feline companion, Jamison. They enjoy karate, traveling, and clarinet music. Paul has decades of experience serving grieving families. His warm smile and compassionate ways are comforting during difficult times.

Joseph Rogalis

Joseph J. Rogalis, Jr. was born in Derby and raised in Ansonia. He attended Assumption School and is a 1964 graduate of Ansonia High School. He is a proud Veteran of the US Navy having served from 1965-1969. He was stationed aboard the Battleship USS New Jersey BB62. Joe was a resident of Seymour for many years before moving to Prospect. Joe has been long term member of the Chepulis Funeral Home Staff and currently functions in an advisory capacity. He continued the legacy of service to the bereaved started by his father, who was also a Funeral Assistant. Joe and his wife, Maureen, have four children and four grandchildren.

She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church and was a very active member, and officer, of the League of the Sacred Heart. She was a member of the Knights of Lithuania. Helen was a licensed Funeral Director and the Office Manager of the firm until her death in 1994.

She was a licensed Funeral Director and will always be remembered for the support and encouragement she gave to those she served. Susan married Walter Ewen in 1999 on the happiest day of her life. Sue attended St. Augustine’s Church and was active in the League of the Sacred Heart. She was a member of the Knights of Lithuania. Her comforting words, strength, and encouragement have been missed by all who knew her.

He joined the Chepulis Funeral Home staff upon his marriage to Susan Chepulis in 1999. As the facilities manager, he was responsible for the upkeep and improvements to the funeral home and property. His last major project was the planning and coordination of the new patio and gardens in memory of his beloved wife. Walter resided at the funeral home with his roommates, Shadow and Jasper, and was a parishioner of St. Augustine Church. He was an avid golfer, card player, and Yankees fan. Walter entered eternal life in 2015.

Robert was born and raised in Derby. He was employed by the American Brass Company until his retirement. Robert joined the Chepulis Funeral Home staff in 2009. He is the facilities manager of the funeral home and properties. His helping hand and welcoming smile will often greet you as you enter the funeral home. Robert resides in Seymour with his dear Ginger. Robert is an avid card player and Yankees fan. He also enjoys forays to make donations at the casinos.
